Boxing Day

The day after Christmas is called Boxing Day in the UK. It is the biggest shopping day of the year and so, of course, we shopped! We went to Carnaby Street where there are lots of independent and very hip stores. We got in trouble for taking this picture but I think it's worth it... how often to you get the opportunity to take a 'silly headband hat' picture with your mother in law?Carnaby street had some really cool decorations up for Christmas... picture the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Unfortunately we were disappointed as most of the stores that we wanted to check out were closed.
After shopping, we took a walk on the Thames. Here's the Robins in front of the London Eye.
We walked to Big Ben and Parliament Square where we got some crepes (Nutella and Banana) and then cued for the Evensong at Westminster Abbey. We must have been tired because as we walked out we all agreed that at one point or another during the service we'd each nodded off!
We went to dinner at Nando's... a very good, very cheep Portugese restaurant.
We then headed towards the theatre... only to find that it was closed! I was so frutrated. Weeks earlier I'd booked tickets for The Woman in Black... Unfortunately, I booked the tickets for January 26th instead of December 26th!!! We ended up back at our flat with some Bailey's and a card game.
On the upside of things... We're going to see The Woman in Black tomorrow night with some friends!
